Yes, I am fully aware that it is still the beginning of September. However, I already have my pumpkin scented candles going strong. This is my favorite time of year! I was going through my fall photos from last year and found these cute invitations I made for our Halloween party. I thought I would post a quick DIY, as it is time to start thinking about Halloween parties!
I found the actual invitation in this Etsy shop. Once I got the PDF from the seller (very quickly), I printed it out at Office Depot and headed to buy a ton of mini pumpkins.
I poked a hole into each pumpkin with a nail.
I then broke several shish kebab sticks in half and spray painted them black. Once they were dry, I simply inserted them into the nail hole I had created in the pumpkin.
I then taped each invitation to the shish kebab stick (how cute is the chevron back of this invitation?)
I placed each invite on our neighbors’ doorsteps, so it was the first thing they would see when they walked out. It was an easy way to go beyond the “normal envelope” if you are delivering local invitations.
This post makes me eager to start decorating for Fall & Halloween. Not sure how early is “too early,” but I am about to break down and bring out the decorations.
