A friend of mine (thanks Aliesha!) shared her recipe for fool-proof peel and eat shrimp. I truly never knew how easy it was…for some reason, I always found it so intimidating. After making it once, it has become our favorite meal to make when the weather warms up. There’s something about a cold glass of Pinot Grigio, beach music, and peel and eat shrimp that make you really kick back.
Old Bay Seasoning (to taste)
One Can of Beer
One bag of jumbo shell on frozen raw shrimp
Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Dump one can of beer into the water. Add Old Bay Seasoning (I use about 1/4 cup) into the beer and water. Add the frozen shrimp to the water and wait for them to float to the top. (Once the shrimp are floating, they are cooked through.)
Put on a little Chairmen of the Board and you’re set.
