Today, I finally sat and had a moment to edit our vacation photos. I took 1,056 pictures. That’s insane…even for me. But, it was worth it. I caught some very beautiful moments for our family.
Little Gigi was so uncertain about the beach at first. The sand bothered her and she cried immediately. We let her go at her own pace and soon she was a beach champ. We literally struggled to keep her from running further into the ocean.
A kind passerby stopped and offered to take a family photo. I was so grateful.
We found a starfish! We told B to make a wish and send it back to the ocean. I caught him “mid-wish.” It was positively the sweetest thing.
I ordered these cute monogrammed beach spikes for our family last year. I was so excited we finally got to use them!
B, Gigi, and David were determined to build a “swimming pool” in the sand. They worked hard on it. The tide eventually came in a took over.
Everyone gave up but little Gigi. She fought the tide and kept digging until we dragged her out (screaming, of course.)
We explored the exquisite wetlands of the island.
Side note-did y’all know that crayons color quite well on seersucker? 🙁 Well, they do. Especially on white seersucker.
We had a family treasure hunt and sparklers on the beach. It was perfection.
A tiny piece of our hearts stayed in Hilton Head….but we definitely brought some of the magic home with us.
A bunch of people have asked about out favorite spots in the super family-oriented vacation spot. I’ll be sharing those in the next post. 🙂
