There comes a time that you have to say to yourself, “finish that project already!” For me, that time was last week. That project was decorating the kids’ bathroom. And yes, friends, it is DONE. DONE. DONE. I can’t say it enough times.
So the room started out looking like this. I can’t find any of my other “before” pictures, but imagine the rest of the room all white…and there you go.
First I redid the cabinets as seen here. Then, I had a sweet baby girl, Southern Nest got even crazier, and B got even wilder. This little DIY project got put on the back-burner until last week.
Slowly, I began to put up board and batten (the same style I did in B’s room.) I painted the walls navy and the board and batten a shiny, crisp white. I then accented the focal wall with Southern Nest Preppy Pattern Decals in the large anchor pattern.
I stepped into the hallway…and the room made me gasp. That’s when I knew I accomplished what I set out to do…the difference was insane.
Next, I added these personalized bathroom prints. I created these on my own and they took FOREVER, but it paid off. I loved that is was so simple, clean and classy. You can get your own prints here: Bathroom Prints
As you can see in the photo above, I had to go back and touch up the paint. But, it’s worth the work. I’ve gone into that bathroom every single day this week just to stop, look around, and smile.
