Gigi loves cupcakes. Her eyes light up when she sees one and she talks about them constantly. Naturally, we decided to use “cupcakes” as the theme for her 2nd birthday party. And just because I kept falling in love with every Lilly themed straw and cupcake topper I saw, I decided to decorate with Lilly Pulitzer decor. The party came together completely Gigi-bright, fun and bubbly.
You can find the cake number toppers here.
I used our Cupcake Preppy Pattern Decals in 5 different colors to make a colorful wall. You can get them here. I love how it turned out! It turned the wall behind the cupcakes into a “feature” of the party.
I used these adorable bottles for juice for the kids (pink and green lids, of course.) I used white paint marker on the chalkboard labels (so they’d have the cute look of chalk, but not come off on little fingers) and wrote each child’s name on a bottle. They came from this Etsy shop.
Gigi’s adorable “Two” tutu is Mud Pie. They always have the cutest, most whimsical clothes.
B and Gigi spent forever scoping out the cupcake table. I am not kidding…she literally spent half the party staring at the cupcakes.
I was so excited to use one of our monogram cake toppers for her birthday. (You can find them here.)
I booked Heavenly Child Party Entertainment for the party. (If you’re in the Charlotte area, check out their website!) They were great-they painted the kids faces, made balloon animals, played games, and did a magic show. The kids were completely entertained…it was wonderful!
At one point, I was looking for Gigi…and there she was. Just lounging on the floor in the middle of her party. To be two again.
The giant number 2 is a new addition to Southern Nest! You can find them here.
Everything was wonderful. We were so thankful to celebrate with our amazing family and friends. I just cannot believe she is already two. Time is flying and I am trying to slow down to soak it in (that’s getting much harder to do these days.) While I was setting up for her birthday party, I looked over and saw these two contently sitting together on the couch. Their relationship is so beautiful and watching it grow as they both get older has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.
